Integrated Enterprise Management

    The fifth and final module of the CIRM curriculum, Integrated Enterprise Management (IEMG), acts as a capstone of the whole CIRM educational program. This course unites all the areas covered in the other four modules together with the application of strategic thinking to enterprisewide issues, such as the integration of individuals within teams, functions, and the enterprise, and the evolution of an enterprise within its environment and over time.


    Through this course, you'll learn how to

    • Examine the relationships and interaction of functional groups working toward a common goal, including benefits, trade-offs, and compromises that are necessary for effective operations
    • Examine business strategies and identify key issues related to those strategies
    • Assess strategic decisions and associated business plans in light of a company's vision and mission
    • Identify measurement systems that assess a company's success and evaluate the appropriateness of given measurement systems for a particular mission and strategy
    • Assess the effects of new technologies on an organization
    • Identify issues related to developing and maintaining strategic alliances
    • Anticipate and attempt to understand the impact of the environment on the enterprise
    • Understand the common phases of an enterprise's development
    • Explain the considerations for entry and exit of the different phases including market, growth, competitive considerations, and organizational structure
    • Evaluate management practices related to the different phases of an enterprise's life cycle
    • Evaluate the traditional phases of a company's development in light of current environments
    • Understand the importance of the team perspective in today's organization.
